Quietly nestled in the valley surrounded by dramatically rugged and picturesque peaks is the traditional Savoyard village of Argentičre.
Argentičre village offers visitors a warm welcome in its bars, restaurants, shops and ski rentalfacilities. The Grands Montets lift system is close to hand with access to some of the most exciting skiing anywhere in the world.
Les Grands Montets peaks out at 3300 snow sure meters. There is even a piste right off the top, and scores of off-piste options, such as the awesome Pas de Chevre. Take the piste or any other route down to Logon and, if you wish, continue on down the well cannoned Pierre a Ric to Argentičre. A total vertical descent of over 2 kilometers!
Apres-Ski:
In Argentičre apres-ski is generally low-key. The Office Bar has been redecorated and is the favoured British watering-hole. The Stone Bar is also popular.
For those seeking livelier nightlife options then head to Chamonix, just 8km down the valley for an abundance of restaurants, bars, cafes, and nightclubs. The ski and board-mad early evening trade starts at 5pm at bars such as the Chambre Neuf. The video bars of Le Choucas and Expedition are fashionable, and there is no shortage of lively watering-holes along the rue du Docteur Paccard. The bars empty at about 7.30pm, when snow-users return to their chalets or apartments for dinner. From about 10.30pm the partying starts up again at Arbat, which has the best live music in town. Wild Wallabies is a top choice for riders, as is Jekyll and Hyde, while real late-nighters end up at the BPM or the Arbate. The Bumble Bee, Bar du Moulin, La Cantina
