AT A GLANCE

Description:

Klosters is a small rural farming community with its own small ski area, as well as having access to the large Parsenn slopes, which are shared with neighbouring Davos. The first winter sports enthusiasts were welcomed in 1904, and the resort has prospered from its connections with the British royal family.

Klosters Platz is the main settlement and is centred on the railway station and the Gotschna cable-car, which provides access to Parsenn.

Klosters Dorf is a sleepy outpost at the bottom of the Madrisa lift system. The two parts of the resort are connected by an efficient bus service. Trains between Klosters and Davosare included in the lift pass.

Klosters lies 1,200 m above sea level in the heart of the Graubunden district, cradled in a romantic mountain landscape. The well-preserved village, the refined ambience and the hearty welcome extended by the locals all combine to make visitors feel at home.

Winter sports enthusiasts will find a broad range of activities, while those looking for more relaxing recreation can enjoy the scenic landscape during leisurely walks.

During full moon, sledgers and skiers gather for a fondue party on the Gotschna and then make the accompanied descent to Klosters.

Outstanding restaurants and classical concerts turn any stay in Klosters into an unforgettable winter vacation experience.

Apres-Ski:
The Steinbock Bar attracts locals as well as tourists. Alternatives include the Piano Bar in the Silvretta Parkhotel, or the Chesa Grischuna. For night-owls, try the Casa Antica, the Kir Royal, and the Mountain Pub in Klosters Dorf.

Large numbers of bars and restaurants for that quick "pick you up" after a long day on the slopes; The Postli Club for live music , the Tonic Piano bar in the Hotel Europe and the Cabanna Club

The finest restaurant in town is the Michelin-rated restaurant in the Hotel Walserhof. Together with the Chesa Grischuna, these establishments must be booked days in advance to ensure you get a table.

The Wynegg serves "rustic" meals, and Fellini is a superb option for pizzas.
