The Property
Chalet Black Wood is a luxurious and modern chalet located in the serene area of Les Bois, within the picturesque ski resort of Chamonix. Spanning over 130m², the combination of modern and traditional alpine design creates a tranquil and intimate space for 4–8 guests, ideal for a family planning a luxury ski holiday to Chamonix.
Set over two levels, the property projects a warm mountain holiday feel thanks to the use of 'old wood' throughout the interior's design. On the top floor, numerous windows enlighten the living area, where a log fireplace sets a cosy atmosphere next to the lounge area, ideal for socialising with family. Nearby, a dining area awaits, suitable for 8 guests to enjoy evenings together, while catching up on the day's events of adventure in the snow. Just opposite, a fully-equipped modern kitchen is set for the nominated cook to prepare their gourmet dinner for the group. Leading from this space, a large glass door allows you to step outside and enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of Mont Blanc and Les Drus, offering a beautiful place to rest and enjoy an alfresco apéritif with a view.
If you're looking to enjoy some relaxation and rejuvenation, a charming Mazot located in the garden welcomes you, featuring a small private spa with an indoor hot tub, ideal for relaxing with a good glass of Champagne. As well as this, the wooden sauna is the perfect place for easing your aching muscles after an intensive day of skiing in Chamonix, whilst the garden itself is a fantastic place for kids to play as adults unwind in the Mazot's wellness facilities.
The use of the 'Vieux Bois' (black wood) is present in all three of the luxurious double bedrooms, which mirrors the traditional alpine design throughout the property. The ground floor offers two large double bedrooms, one of which is complete of its own en-suite bathroom. Nearby, a cosy bunk bedroom can comfortably sleep up to 4 children, sharing a shower room with the second double bedroom. To meet the desires of guests, the doubles rooms can also be arranged as twins.
The chalet also offers a spacious ski room with boot warmers, laundry facilities and parking for two within the double garage.
Prices are based on the exclusive use of the chalet for up to 8 guests and is offered on a self-catered basis only.
Please note, the chalet only offers pre-arrival assistance and in-resort concierge services when you opt into a concierge package. Should you opt in, additional services will be able to be arranged for you on request. (Package upgrades also available).
Location
Chalet Black Wood is located in a tranquil position, in the scenic area of Les Bois in Chamonix.
Whilst benefitting from a quieter location in resort, the chalet still remains in an accessible position. La Flégère cable car is a 4-minute drive away to access the Brévent-Flégère area. Argentière's Grand Montets ski area can be accessed via the Plan Joran lift, found under a 10-minute drive away, whilst Le Tour is an additional 5 minutes' drive. Walking trails and cross-country ski tracks can also be accessed from the garden.
Chamonix's lively resort centre can be reached via a 7-minute drive, to explore a range of buzzing bars, restaurants and mountain shops. For non-skiers, the Aiguille du Midi cable car is a must-visit attraction in Chamonix, approximately 10 minutes by car. For ease of access around resort, the chalet lies 450m away from the Les Bois bus stop, which lies on the main road that goes through Chamonix.

At this luxury property, a concierge service is available on an opt-in basis. Should you wish for some form of pre-arrival and in-resort assistance, there are three levels of services available to you:
The Snow Pass covers your ski essentials, including the organisation of ski passes delivered to your accommodation and ski equipment hire for the duration of your holiday.
The Booking Pass includes everything that the Snow Pass does, with further assistance in booking numerous activities. From restaurant reservations on the mountain and in resort, to all important ski lessons for members of your party, and the organisation of grocery and bakery deliveries, the Booking Pass will have you covered. The team will also help with transfers to and from resort, arranging childcare for families with children, and booking of other non-skiing activities.
The most comprehensive option, the Serenity Pass, covers the first two passes alongside any additional chalet services. Catering options such as meal deliveries, private chefs, and butler services, as well as private transport options during your holiday can be arranged with the Serenity Pass.
Please note, additional cleaning services can be added without the need for any of the passes. The concierge passes allow for assistance with these services, but extra charges for these additional services will still apply. You can opt-in to or upgrade the concierge services at any time before or during your holiday, but for the optimum assistance, it is recommended you do so at the time of booking, so your in-resort team can best meet your requirements.
