This hidden gem in the heart of the Mont Blanc ski region is claimed to be the doorway to the Evasion Mont Blanc ski area. Saint Gervais is located just two lifts away from the top of Mont d'Arbois and Mont Joux, where you'll have ski access to over 330km of linked pistes, from greens to blacks, two snow parks, and have access to the popular resort of Megeve - another of the six resorts that make up the Evasion Mont Blanc ski area. As part of the Mont Blanc Region, St Gervais is also only a short drive from Chamonix and is accessible to Les Houches via the Mont Blanc tramway. With many resorts compacted into this ski area, the Mont Blanc extended ski pass offers unlimited skiing which makes moving from resorts easy.
Family Ski Holidays to St Gervais
Skiing in St Gervais itself is ideal for family ski holidays and intermediates alike. The wide rolling pistes remain tree-lined even up to 2,353m. The local skiing has much to offer across both Mont d'Arbois and Mont Joux and has plenty of off-piste opportunities through the trees.
Charm and Wellness Combined
This French traditional spa town is a quaint scenic village, boasting thermal baths as well as bars and restaurants for a range of budgets. It's easy to forget that Saint Gervais is a ski resort at all…unlike many other resorts St Gervais has a year-round population and is packed with stunning old buildings dating back to 1806 creating a mountain town full of charm and character.
Après Ski Entertainment in St Gervais
Despite its traditional appearance, a ski chalet holiday in St Gervais can cater for both the early-riser skier and those that enjoy a tipple or two at the après with plenty of après spots found on the mountains. None more so popular than Folie Douce, found on Mont Joux serving both Megève and Saint Gervais après. Another at the foot of the gondola is Oboose, open from 3pm to 3am, and Pur Bar often hosting DJ's and has champagne flowing until 2am.
Back in resort, St Gervais has a host of bars and sophisticated nightspots, as well and a grand ice rink, cinema and of course the thermal baths. Alternatively, Megève is a 10-minute car ride away and has even more restaurants, a casino and a famous jazz bar.
