The Property

Spread across 3 floors, Chalet Hibou offers a wonderful homely Alpine getaway for 8-12 guests, with plenty of outdoor space for the little ones and big kids within the group!

You enter the property on the chalet’s main floor, home to the open-plan living space and one of the bedrooms. Beautiful high ceilings and large windows help to create an airy ambience, whilst luxury furnishings, plush fabrics and art décor maintain a sophisticated, homely feel inside. Suitable for relaxing in front of the fireplace, the sumptuous sofas are perfectly positioned to maximise the warmth and mountain scenery outside. For full warmth, make sure to claim the two seats adjacent to the fireplace.

The chalet has a feel of an English coastal townhouse, due to its décor and painted wood interiors featuring throughout, which is especially felt in the fully equipped open kitchen area. Located on one side of the living room, guests will be able to watch their private chef in action perched on the barstools of the breakfast island. Enjoy your dinners seated under hanging signature lighting on the adjacent wooden dining table. Behind the living room, at the back of the property, is a small kitchenette for your staff to prepare drinks to complement your evening meal.

In front of the chalet is an open meadow and sheltered trees, the perfect space for snowball fights in front of the mountain scenery or sliding down the naturally created toboggan run. Positioned in an avalanche zone, there is no danger of this space being built on in future, ensuring everyone can enjoy on their return ski holidays to Chamonix. Tucked in a tree to the right of the chalet also lies a quaint treehouse, offering the ideal height advantage for those snowball fights – although be careful in case it is slippery!

There is a large terrace area, shared between the living room and the second-floor bedroom, in view of the magnificent Mont Blanc Mountain region. Here is an ideal space to continue après drinks or sip on an aperitif before dinner, whilst being able to keep a watchful eye over the snowball fight below.

For relaxation, head down to Chalet Hibou’s lower floor. A well-lit wellness area, equipped with an indoor swimming pool and sofa loungers, exudes a Scandinavian feel, transporting you from the mountain surroundings framed across the floor-to-ceiling windows. Speakers will allow you to set the ambience for your relaxation in this room. A small sauna, also found on the lower floor, offers an alternative for your pamper session.

A soundproofed TV snug occupies the top mezzanine floor of Chalet Hibou. Finished with a Marrakech-style influence and design, it is the perfect space for the little ones to enjoy their own privacy as the adults converse in the main open-plan living area downstairs.

In total, Chalet Hibou sleeps 8-12 guests across 4 double/twin bedrooms and a quad bunk bedroom, perfect for those luxury family ski holidays in Chamonix. On the chalet’s main floor, guests will find a double/twin bedroom with shared terrace access and en-suite bathroom. The remaining bedrooms are all found on the lower floor, each benefitting from en-suite facilities.

There is a ski room with heated boot warmers, for effortless preparations before a day’s skiing in Chamonix, which also leads through to a garage.

Prices are based on the exclusive use of the chalet for up to 10 guests and includes full gourmet catering, open drinks bar and daily housekeeping.

The chalet is also offered on a self-catered basis, with housekeeping included every other day.
