The Property
Chalet Ikaria is an authentic and discreet chalet situated in the pretty and charming French ski resort of Châtel. Sleeping up to a maximum of 17 guests across 7 bedrooms, this chalet is ideal for families and friends looking to enjoy a quieter and more peaceful chalet experience while still maintaining access to some of the best ski areas that Europe has to offer.
The main living space, with cavernous ceilings and a warm, refined atmosphere, is located on the top floor of the chalet. A stylish fireplace takes prominence around which you can take your pick of comfortable lounge seating, while vast windows engulf the entirety of one wall providing stunning vistas. The elegant dining area can also be found in this room, with ample seating for every guest. The top floor of the chalet is also home to both a smart, practical kitchen and a secondary lounge with a chic bar area. These three spaces are separated by giant glass walls that will make you truly appreciate these breathtaking and spacious living spaces. The balcony spans the entire length of this floor and is one of five individual terraces over three floors of Chalet Ikaria that all showcase incredible panoramas of the beautiful Alpine region.
Downstairs on the first floor is where you will find Chalet Ikaria's impressive wellness facilities. A comfortable relaxation area can be utilised on either the terrace or inside the fashionable spa room. You can take your pick with where to soothe those tired muscles after an accomplished day of skiing, with both a sauna and an outdoor hot tub on hand for guests to enjoy.
Guests staying at Chalet Ikaria have an abundance of choice when it comes to bedrooms. All beautifully decorated with in a style that blends classic wood furnishings with more modern sensibilities, there are 6 double or twin bedrooms all with en-suite bath or shower rooms and all with shared access to one of several balconies spread across the floors. A further dormitory style bunk bedroom which can sleep five people is perfect for children and also comes with an en-suite shower room and direct access onto the terrace with the hot tub. Finally, there is a sofa bedroom with en-suite shower room that would allow the chalet to sleep up to 19 but this is available on a request basis only.
On the ground floor, guests can make use of two separate garages with parking for up to 4 cars in total. Here you will also find two storage rooms, one purposefully designed for skiing in mind with heated boot warmers, while the other has space for private bike storage.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 17 guests and is offered on a self-catered basis with daily housekeeping. Prices do not include mandatory renter's insurance of 4%, which will be calculated on top of the advertised rates.

Location
Chalet Ikaria is nestled in a setback position off the road between Châtel village and the Lac des Vonnes. This chalet is in an ideal location that allows guests to enjoy a peaceful holiday whilst still easily connecting into one of the largest ski areas in the world.
The chalet is just a 10 minute walk or 2-minute drive from Châtel Village centre, local amenities and the Super-Châtel gondola and ski school meeting points. Your nearest local convenience store is only 170 metres up the road for you to pop out with ease to grab any essentials.
For those wanting to start your day away from any potential crowds, the lesser known Portes du Soleil and Gabelou chairlifts at Lac des Vonnes are also a 2 minute drive. There is parking here, or it is also possible to use the local bus service.

With more than 20 years of experience and a team of enthusiasts, this operator is all about offering uniquely refined, prestigious chalets in order to create fabulous memories on a skiing holiday that guests will want to experience over and over again. The pre-arrival concierge service will be happy to help organise your stay as well as pre-booking equipment and lessons for you in order to start your holiday as smooth as possible. They will do the utmost to meet your requirements with any questions or suggestions that you might have.
For your greatest comfort, guests will arrive at a spotlessly cleaned Chalet Ikaria with all the bedrooms made up with linen and two sets of bath towels per guest provided. To help make the most of your stay, staff will be on hand to provide three hours of daily cleaning services. These daily services are tailored to your preference each day. Due to the size of the chalet, two out of three of the main floors can be thoroughly cleaned during this period of 3 hours. This can be both bedroom floors, including the wellness area, or the living floor and one of the bedroom floors, each day. Should you wish for a whole chalet clean every day, an additional 2 hours of cleaning can be added on for an additional cost. A mid-week towel change is included, while you can have a change of sheets during your stay at an additional cost.
