Chalet Le Whymper exemplifies modern alpine charm, a luxury chalet in Châtel that sleeps up to 13 guests in five spacious bedrooms. The chalet enjoys a premier location with unbeatable views, featuring stylish living spaces and some soothing wellness facilities.
Spread over three floors, the chalet has been constructed with quality wood and stone materials for that classic chalet feel. The middle level of Chalet Le Whymper features its main living spaces. The lounge sits at the front of the property, benefitting from a plush, contemporary corner sofa, and open lofty ceilings. A stylish fireplace is integrated into a black pillar that sits between the lounge and the chalet's main dining area, a convivial, intimate space. Behind the dining area there is further seating at a breakfast bar, which is perched at the end of a modern fitted kitchen. The living spaces open out to a generously sized balcony, with outdoor furniture and dining table well-sheltered by the chalet roof overhang.
A level below, the chalet has an expansive terrace that not only slopes off into a snowy garden, but also contains the wellness facilities of Chalet Le Whymper. There are few better ways to cap a day of skiing in the Portes du Soleil than with a relaxing soak in the Jacuzzi hot tub, mesmerised by the incredible views over Châtel and down the valley. The views can also be enjoyed through the panoramic fish-eye lens of the barrel sauna, conveniently found adjacent to the hot tub on the terrace.
Chalet Le Whymper has further areas inside for leisure and relaxation. Soft carpets, bean bag chairs and iconic chairlift seating bring a fun atmosphere to the playroom, which also features an electric fireplace. The chalet also has an air hockey table, as well as a cosy TV lounge and chic bar area, completed by its well-stocked wine fridge.
Chalet Le Whymper can accommodate up to 13 guests in total, spread between five welcoming bedrooms. The bedrooms feature a mix of exposed wood and sumptuous beds to form an alpine suite of both luxury and comfort. There are three double bedrooms, one of which has an additional bunk ideal for two extra children, and lastly there's a triple bedroom sleeping three. All bedrooms either come en-suite or share a shower room. Some rooms also provide direct access outside, to the chalet's terrace and garden.
There are up to 6 spaces for outside parking at the chalet. Chalet Le Whymper also features a ski room for your gear and laundry facilities.
For larger groups of up to 27 guests, Chalet Le Whymper can be taken with its sister chalet, Chalet Le Spencer, located two doors down from the property.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 13 guests on a contactless catered basis with daily breakfast delivery, 6 nights pre-prepared dinners, selected complimentary drinks, in-resort driver service and scheduled housekeeping.
The chalet is also available on a self catered basis.

Chalet Le Whymper occupies a splendid location in the heights of the peaceful Le Petit Châtel area of Châtel, offering its guests spectacular views and close proximity to the ski lifts.
The nearest lift to the chalet is the Petit Châtel chairlift, a 7-minute walk down the road and round the corner from where you are located. For the main Super Châtel gondola in the centre of town, you are only 4 minutes away by car.
The centre of Châtel is your main hub with many bars, restaurants and local shops to explore. There are also a small number of ski shops and restaurants within walking distance to the chalet in the Petit Châtel hamlet.

In this luxury chalet in Châtel, you can enjoy a range of customised services, whether taking the chalet on a self-catered or catered basis.
When catered, the chalet is offered on what's known as a contactless catered basis. Each morning you will receive a breakfast delivery including pastries and homemade jams. Then, pre-prepared evening meals will be delivered to your chalet on 6 nights of your stay. These will be created off-site in a professional kitchen, using authentic, local ingredients. There are a range of dishes to choose from, allowing you to pre-prepare your menu with what best suits your group's tastes. The meals are delivered right to your door, with simple instructions for heating them up, allowing you the flexibility to eat when you like. The chalet is also stocked with a range of complimentary drinks. For catered stays, there is regular housekeeping and the added benefit of an in-resort driver service to take you to and from the ski lifts and village centre. On request, a private chef can cook for you at the chalet, at an additional cost and subject to availability.
When taken on a self-catered basis, you have the option to add the breakfast and meal delivery services on an ad hoc basis. You can use this service before arrival, or during your stay up to 24 hours in advance, allowing you to enjoy local specialities such as fondue, raclette and Savoyard dishes at your convenience.
The chalets have a concierge service available 24/7, and will endeavour to assist you with whatever request you may have, any time of day. Further specialist services the chalet team can arrange include yoga classes and mountain guides.
