The Property

Chalet La Douceur is a beautiful former farmhouse that can sleep up to 20 guests across 9 bedrooms. Organised over two floors, the chalet spreads across 340m² and it is divided into two fully independent apartments: Apartment Chez Germain and its smaller counterpart, Apartment Chez Joseph. For groups wanting more space and to spread out over a greater number of bedrooms, Chalet La Doucer could be a great option for your next luxury ski holiday in La Clusaz.

Both the parts of this traditional farmhouse are characterised by a modern alpine finish. The main living spaces are found in the Chez Germain side of the property. The best place to socialise, is in the main lounge, found on the top floor of the property, where vaulted ceilings and oak beams provide character and a large 'L' sofa provides suitable seating. Alternatively, if you are looking for quiet, there are two further lounge areas, one alongside the kitchen and dining area in Chez Germain and a smaller sitting room in the Chez Joseph side, both featuring a cosy fireplace.

For your post-ski appetites, head towards Chez Germain's dining area, where a large wooden table will accommodate all the homemade meals throughout your stay. An alternate, smaller dining area can also be found within Chez Jospeh. In each apartment of Chalet La Douceur, guests will find a fully-equipped modern kitchen, which will have everything you may need to prepare delicious homemade meals.

Outside, a wrap-around balcony sets the wintery scene, providing a welcoming space to take in the stunning mountain landscape of the Aravis valley. After a long day of skiing in La Clusaz, you will also be looking forward to coming back to the outdoor barrel sauna, perfect for soothing any achy muscles whilst enjoying a wonderful picturesque background, through the barrel's fish eye lens window.

In total, Chalet La Douceur in La Clusaz, can sleep up to 20 guests across 9 bedrooms, lovingly decorated with a similar modern alpine design. The rooms all stick firmly to the Savoyard feel of the property with lots of exposed wood, woollen throws and a neutral colour pallete. Apartment Chez Germain features 6 bedrooms, equally split between two floors, and accommodating a total of 14 people. On the second level, the master bedroom stands out, featuring a dressing room, an en-suite bathroom and stunning views thanks to the access onto the balcony. On the other side, Apartment Chez Jospeh includes 3 double bedrooms, one with an en-suite and the others sharing a shower room.

For extra convenience, Chalet La Douceur features a ski room with boot warmers and laundry facilities. For self-driving guests, a garage with 4 parking spaces is also included.

Prices are based on the exclusive use of the chalet for up to 20 guests and is offered on a self-catered basis only.
