The Property
Chalet 21Forty is luxury ski in ski out chalet with a pool, located in the popular high altitude resort of Les Arcs. With seven bedrooms, the chalet can welcome up to 14 guests making it ideal for large group ski holidays in the French Alps. Family groups wanting easy ski access will love this property!
Set over two levels, Chalet 21Forty has been built using natural stone and timber and luxuriously furnished in a bright and stylish way. At one end of the building, the chalet benefits from a cavernous open-plan main living area, featuring double-height ceilings of light wood and large picture windows that let in plenty of natural light. A comfortable corner sofa and funky armchair occupy the lounge area, which sits adjacent to a feature fireplace for warmth. A long, live-edge dining table can host all 14 chalet guests, which is found beside a smart bar where you can find additional seating. The fully-equipped kitchen is then located behind the bar, closed off for additional privacy. A masterwork of craftsmanship, a suspended glass walkway leads out to a mezzanine reading platform above the lounge, where you have a bird's eye view on all the action below.
Chalet 21Forty's spa area is located toward the other end of the ground floor. The spa features a heated indoor swimming pool, looking more like a giant sunken hot spring, although with counter-current jets you are sure to swim as much as you like. The spa area is also host to an intimate, traditional wooden sauna, offering further rejuvenation after a long day skiing in Les Arcs.
Located on the upper floor, directly next to the glass walkway, Chalet 21Forty features a TV lounge/library, offering guests a quiet space to relax. There is also a piano located in the main lounge, for any musically-gifted guests to provide entertainment for the rest of your group.
Spread across both floors, Chalet 21Forty features seven double/twin bedrooms, sleeping a total of 14 guests. The bedrooms are airy and modern, with a crisp, clean design that utilises lots of white and pastel colours. The top floor houses a spacious Master suite with seating area of 60m², as well as a 40m² Junior suite, both of which are completed by en-suite bathrooms with a separate shower and his and hers sinks. The other five bedrooms all feature en-suite shower rooms.
Chalet 21Forty includes a ski room with boot warmers, which connects to the main lounge and opens out directly onto the slopes.
Prices are per person and are based on two adults sharing a room. The price includes full chalet catering and a complimentary return coach transfer from Geneva Airport (set times apply). Child and smaller group discounts will apply.
Room upgrades are available for an additional supplement in Room 7 (£400) and Room 6 (£250).
For off-peak dates, groups of 12 adults or more will receive a 10% discount. Not in conjunction with other offers.
Location
Locations like this one are hard to beat. At an altitude of 2,140m, as its name suggests, Chalet 21Forty is a luxury ski in/ski out chalet in Les Arcs, nestled upon the beginner's plateau next to Les Arcs 2000 and affording gorgeous mountain views in all directions.
The main piste closest to the chalet is the aptly named blue Chalets piste, although due to the chalet's position on the beginner's area, any number of convergent pistes can be used to reach the property. A short ski from the chalet door will bring you to the nearest lifts, the Jacques chairlift and Varet gondola, while further down from these you will find the Bois de l'Ours chairlift for instant access towards the villages of Les Arcs 1800 and 1600.
While an incredibly peaceful location in isolation on the pistes, the chalet is also less than 5 minutes walk across the slopes into Les Arcs 2000, where you will find a number of restaurants, bars and ski shops. For a wider selection, you can then walk from here down to Les Arcs 1950, or alternatively take the free Cabriolet lift, which runs until 11:30pm.

This dedicated chalet team ensure the simple things that really matter are done supremely well, in order to make your ski chalet holiday easy. From warm ski boots in the morning to dedicated hosts who will help you with local advice for your ski day. From nannies with a little photo album at the end of the week to multimedia sockets to play your music, images or films. From the utter bliss of a post-piste professional massage or perhaps a manicure and facial, down to the fluffy towels. Silly little stuff like that is important to them, and so they know it will be important to you too.
Your catered stay consists of many elements, making your experience that bit more special. Upon arrival at Geneva Airport, you will be greeted by the team and taken to your chalet via coach. When entering the chalet, your beds will be made, and you will be provided with complimentary toiletries, bath and hand towels. Daily cleaning will be provided, and you will have the dedication of two chalet hosts for the duration of your stay, assisting with dinner and other aspects of your holiday if required.
A catered chalet holiday is all about the food…their chefs and hosts are passionate about food and hugely sensitive to the appetite of a hungry skier whilst considering a balanced diet. Their new and refined menus are heavy enough to reward mountain exertion yet light and simple enough to leave you grinning, not groaning. During a week's stay in the chalet, you will be catered for 6 days, being provided with a three course set evening meal with cheese board and coffee, as well as a selection of house wines, cordials and sparkling water during dinner. Breakfast is provided on 7 days a week with both cooked and/or continental breakfast options available, to ensure you are energised for your day on the mountains. As if this isn't enough, a selection of home-made cakes are waiting for you in the chalet once you have finished for the day. Not to mention that canapés are provided on 6 nights! To top it off, there is free flowing beer available throughout your stay.
If you are planning a family ski holiday and are exploring childcare options, then you are in the right place. Their nannies will make your holiday and spoil you with a freedom you'd forgotten existed. Enthusiastic, qualified and caring, they'll come to your chalet, look after the children, waft them effortlessly from pyjamas to piste if required, and allow you to get on with what you came for. Regrettably, they are not available to take home!
Scheduled Transfers 24/25 (Geneva Airport)
There are 4 transfers scheduled from Geneva to resort, departing Geneva at 11:15am / 1:15pm/ 3:15pm (3:30pm from March 29th onwards) / 5:15pm. Return coaches on departure day are scheduled to arrive in Geneva at 8:45am /10:30am /12:30pm / 2:30pm. It is recommended you arrive 2-3hrs before your flight.
