Maison d'Hiver in Les Gets is an idyllic chalet for a true winter holiday retreat. Perched high on the hillside, benefiting from long days of sunshine and beautiful views, the chalet provides a real sense of being within its mountain surroundings. A luxury home with lots of traditional charm and 5 en-suite bedrooms, this chalet can sleep up to 12 guests.
Upon entering Maison d'Hiver, guests will be welcomed into the spacious open-plan living area. The use of old wood, a handmade staircase and artisan touches throughout emphasise the authenticity of this homely chalet. Natural light streams in through the large French doors and many windows. The comfortable sofas are strategically positioned to sit in front of the wood burning fireplace, creating a wonderfully cosy retreat after a long ski day. Adjacent, the dining area features a large wooden table with banquette seating and looks on to the modern kitchen where your nominated cook can whip up a treat. They should find everything they need in this well-equipped kitchen!
Leading off from the living area, you'll find multiple terraces, including a covered terrace with alfresco dining which might tempt you on a spring ski day for an outdoor apéritif. After a long time on the slopes, nothing will beckon you more than the outdoor hot tub, where you can soothe any achy muscles. The outdoor bar area adjacent will enable you to keep your glasses topped up while you relax!
Indoors, kids will be suitably entertained with a TV lounge to watch their latest box set choice on Netflix. Alternatively, the table tennis and table football will provide ample opportunities for friendly family competition. If looking for a quiet spot of calm, then why not head out to the terrace swing and admire the panoramic views and tranquillity that this beautiful spot offers.
The bedrooms in Maison d'Hiver are split over the ground floor and top floor of the chalet, with the living space on the floor in the middle. This would make it an ideal base for two families travelling together but wanting a little bit of their own space. The rooms recall the traditional wooden design and Alpine interiors seen within the rest of the property. The master bedroom, one double/twin bedroom and a bunk corner are found on the top floor. On the ground floor there are two double bedrooms and one double or twin bedroom. Each bedroom has its own en-suite, with only the guests in the bunk beds needing to share bathroom facilities of one of the double rooms. Two of the rooms on the ground floor have terrace access.
To ensure your ski equipment stays dry for your upcoming days on the slopes, the property provides a ski room with heated boot warmers. There are also laundry facilities and space for up to 4 cars at the property.
Prices are based on the exclusive use of the chalet for up to 12 guests and is offered on a self-catered basis with complimentary use of the two private parking spaces in the centre of Les Gets.
