The Property
Chalet L'Abreuvoir is a traditional chalet in Meribel Le Raffort, constructed from reclaimed timber which has been carefully repurposed to create a spectacular alpine chalet with bags of rustic mountain charm whilst having the latest modern comforts. Across multiple floors, L'Abreuvoir can sleep up to 10 guests.
The second floor of the chalet is home to the open plan living and dining area, with adjoining kitchen. This cosy space is complimented by the open fireplace and warm lighting. Moving towards the dining space, there is a round table which has been restored from a mountain farmhouse and provides the perfect setting for sharing a delicious meal after a long day on the slopes. A high bar counter divides the kitchen from the dining room table and enables guests to enjoy an aperitif whilst chatting to the designated chef. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed when catering for a large group of friends and family. From here you can head outside to the terrace which provides mountain views, the perfect place to enjoy the afternoon sun.
When entering the ground floor of the chalet you are greeted with an entrance hall and access to the ski room which has boot warmers and space for storing ski equipment. Moving further into the chalet, there is a wellness suite with indoor Jacuzzi, sauna and adjoining shower. Although the wellness facilities may not excite the children in the group, there is a cinema room which is likely to keep them occupied in the evenings.
Every attention has been paid to the design of this chalet, from the handmade Indian fabrics, bespoke ceramic washbasins and delicate lanterns created by a Japanese paper artist. In total Chalet L'Abreuvoir has five bedrooms and can sleep up to 10 people. Each bedroom is en-suite and can be split into twin bedrooms if required. The master bedroom in the eaves is 36m² in size and has a Japanese feature bath and private balcony.
Chalet L'Abreuvoir is located within a Hamlet of three chalets, next door to L'Ecume de Neiges. The two properties can be taken together to sleep up to 24 guests. When taken together, a drawbridge can be lowered to connect the two properties via the balconies on the first floor. Chalet Le Ruisseau sits at the top of the road and can accommodate up to 14 guests for even larger groups all looking to be in close proximity to one another.
For added convenience, Chalet L'Abreuvoir has a ski room with boot warmers, laundry facilities and a lift for all floors. In addition, there is a garage which is shared with guests from other chalets in the Hamlet, L'Ecume des Neiges and Chalet Ruisseau.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 10 guests and is offered on a self-catered basis with daily housekeeping (excluding Wednesdays) and morning/afternoon driver shuttle service (Max 2 shuttles per day).
