The Property
Chalet Le Ruisseau is a typical traditional chalet with the added bonus of modern-day comfort. The owner's eye for boutique-style design includes eye-catching paintings, reclaimed doors and ladders from original mountain barns used as decoration throughout. Le Ruisseau provides a warm welcome for groups of friends and families of up to 14 people across 6 bedrooms.
The living room in Chalet Le Ruisseau is spacious and has a selection of handmade furniture and rustic features throughout. There are a selection of corner sofas and armchairs within this room, providing enough space for the whole group to relax. The central stone and wooden fireplace with old-fashioned chimney provides warmth and enhances the homely feeling.
A large farmhouse door separates the lounge from the dining room, adding to the rustic charm that Chalet Le Ruisseau offers. Entering this room you will be welcomed with a large antique farm table seating up to 14, perfect for socialising. This leads onto the fitted kitchen, which is fully equipped with the essentials. A bar is also at your disposal for some lively apres-ski in the comfort of your chalet!
Situated on the same floor as the dining room, you will find the indoor hot tub, surrounded by large windows. From here you can head out onto the south-west facing terrace where you are greeted with a stunning view of the mountains. The chalet's outside space also includes a large, south/west facing terrace with teak dining furniture and a gas BBQ with hot plate. Make the most of those sunny afternoons and soak up some rays and those unimpeded mountain views. The 6-person sauna is located in a log cabin which makes for a fabulously Nordic feel, especially with the ‘kota' or Scandinavian fire-pit, ideal for enjoying an aperitif or for a BBQ.
In total, Chalet Le Ruisseau can sleep 14 guests across 6 individually-decorated bedrooms. Each of the 4 bedrooms on the first floor of the chalet can be configured as either a double, or twin bedroom, and each have an en-suite. The two bedrooms in the eaves of the chalet are ideal for younger guests as there is a maximum head height of 1.85m. This space also has a chill-out area with sofa, bean bags and flat-screen TV.
Chalet Le Ruisseau is located within a Hamlet of three chalets, sitting at the top of the road in close proximity with L'Ecume de Neiges and Chalet L'Abreuvoir, which respectively sleep 10 and 14 guests. On request, the three property can be taken together to accommodate larger groups. Please enquire if this is required for your booking.
For added convenience, Chalet Le Ruisseau has a ski room with boot warmers, laundry facilities and a lift for all floors. In addition, there is a garage which is shared with guests from other chalets in the Hamlet, L'Ecume des Neiges and Chalet L'Abreuvoir.
