The Property
Chalet La Fourmiliere is a country house in the mountains, offering its guests the best 5 star hospitality with concierge service, professional chef, driver and host. The property was built in 1805 as a traditional French farmhouse or Grange, and has now been thoughtfully re-designed to create a stunning and contemporary home from home, making the perfect backdrop for your winter holiday house party. A sense of style permeates throughout, perfectly blending the original features with art, antiques and carefully chosen modern design pieces. Across 6 bedrooms and 325m² of space, La Fourmiliere can sleep up to 15 guests.
The main living area of the chalet can be found on the ground floor, where there are two seating areas back to back. On one side there are a selection of chairs looking towards a large flat-screen TV, and on the other side of the room an array of comfy sofas arranged around a large open feature fireplace, providing warmth throughout the room.
Also on the ground floor is the dining room, which is large, light and airy thanks to the double height ceiling. This space is complimented by the unique floor, and wooden touches. In the corner of this room is a wine display, and bar area with stools, the perfect place for a pre-dinner cocktail.
Chalet Fourmiliere has been converted from its humble farmhouse origins into a stunning contemporary home with a blend of original features and modern amenities creating the perfect environment for entertainment and relaxation. Upstairs on the mezzanine level, looking over the dining area, is a small library, ideal for any book fanatics. Also on this floor is a massage and treatment room, perfect for soothing any aching muscles. Continue to be pampered outside in the large hot tub. Relax after a big day on the mountain and the chalet team will supply the necessary bar service! For the more competitive, there is a stylish games room complete with a full sized pool table.
In total, La Fourmiliere can sleep between 12 and 15 guests across 6 luxuriously decorated bedrooms. Each bedroom is complete with plump pillows, wool duvets, luxurious bedlinen, large fluffy towels and cosy bathrobes. Whilst each room is en-suite, 3 have a bath and shower, and the other 3 have a shower. For added flexibility, the bedrooms can all be made up as you wish, either as twins or with super king beds. There is also an option to add an extra bed in some of the rooms to accommodate a maximum of 15 guests.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 12 guests and includes full gourmet catering, driver service and open bar. An additional 3 guests can be accommodated for a supplement, please enquire.
Christmas week (w/c 21st December) is available on a room by room basis at £3,400 per person (2 people per room). On other weeks the chalet is available on a per room basis too, please enquire for further details.
Location
Located in a residential area on the outside of Morzine, La Fourmiliere is within easy reach of several access points to the huge Portes du Soleil ski area. Guests can take advantage of the driver service provided to and from the lifts each day, where in just 3 minutes you can be at either the Pleney or Super Morzine ski lift.
By foot, the centre of Morzine is just 20 minutes away. However there is also a local bus which passes within 2-minute walk from La Fourmiliere providing easy access to the many restaurants, bars and shops Morzine has to offer.

Thanks to the amazing team at Chalet La Fourmiliere, guests are provided with a high level of service, great quality food and a memorable experience. This starts the minute you enter as you will be greeted with champagne and canapés upon your arrival.
Each morning guests are presented with a selection of continental breakfast items, as well as a cooked option on 5 mornings a week. Afternoon tea is also provided on 5 days a week, with a selection of homemade cakes and pastries available.
A holiday to La Fourmiliere starts with an opportunity to consult with your private chef to ensure a memorable culinary week and in order that all your dietary needs are met. They can tailor your guest experience to make it perfect for you. On 5 days a week, the evening starts with canapes and pre-dinner drinks, followed by a four-course evening meal to include entrée, main course, dessert and cheese, accompanied by a selection of wine, followed by tea or coffee. If preferred, one evening can be arranged as a French night with Fondue, and high tea for the younger guests can also be arranged.
Also provided throughout your catered stay in La Fourmiliere are a selection of drinks including; spirits, beers, wines, mixers, soft drinks, tea and coffee. For those who are a little peckish after a long day on the slopes, you can help yourselves to the sweet and biscuit jars provided.
Your designated chalet driver will take you to your choice of ski lift every morning, and then pick you up again at the end of the day. For accessing Morzine during other times, there is a bus stop just 2 minutes walk from La Fourmiliere.
The chalets dedicated Concierge Service is there to arrange whatever you need. They work with a range of preferred suppliers, so you benefit from the best service, and rates. Quotes can be sent in advance for all the little essentials or extras you might want to add in to your holiday experience, for example:
- Lift passes ready and waiting for you so you can avoid the queues and head straight to the slopes on your first morning.
- In house ski, board and boot fitting in the Fourmiliere dining room, while you relax and enjoy a drink and some delicious canapés.
- Ski guides/lessons.
- The Fourmiliere team know the best après ski bars and restaurants, both on the mountain, and in the local area. They can make recommendations and reservations for you in advance.
- Massages, or other pampering treats, to ease tired bodies, in the private and relaxing treatment room.
