The Property
Sleeping 10-12 guests, Chalet Galibier is a luxury ski chalet with a sauna and indoor Jacuzzi, located in the Chantemerle area of Serre chevalier. The chalet is ideally suited for family or friend groups and offers alpine comfort with fantastic ski access, just a short walk from the closest ski lifts, perfect for your next luxury ski holiday in Serre Chevalier.
Chalet Galibier's living area is found on the first floor of the chalet. Designed with classic wooden interiors and a sleek stone tiled floor, the comfort of the space is elevated by an array of soft sheep skin throws adorning the chalets' furniture. The open-plan space features an inviting lounge area with contemporary style sofas tucked into the corner. This extends around the corner into a TV snug area, perfect for a family movie night. Between the lounge and dining area lies the flickering log burning fireplace, ushering heat into the chalet and adding ambiance to your evenings. Take a seat around the feature wooden dining table, atop sturdy tree trunks, and delight in the delicious dinners prepared by your designated chalet team. The stylish kitchen completes the space, open-plan in design so guests are able to experience a culinary show as meals are prepared. Sliding glass doors open onto the chalet's terrace, to enjoy an evening drink as the sun drops behind the mountain peaks.
A relaxing wellness area features on Chalet Galibier's lower floor, suitable for unwinding after a day's ski in Serre Chevalier. Featuring an indoor Jacuzzi and sauna, it's just what's needed to recover tired muscles!
Chalet Galibier has five spacious bedrooms to accommodate for up to 12 guests, each styled with dark wood interiors, plenty of natural light and complimented by comfortable soft furnishings. The master double bedroom sits on the top floor, benefitting from a high vaulted ceiling and an open bathroom; the room also has a private balcony to admire the snowy scenery. The chalet's sleeping arrangements are also ideal for family groups and hosting younger guests, complete with a bunk bedroom (sleeps 2) and a twin bedroom that has additional mezzanine twin beds. Two doubles complete the bedroom layout. All rooms have en-suite facilities, whilst some take advantage of access to balconies.
For convenience, self-driving guests at Chalet Galibier have access to two covered parking spaces and one uncovered parking space, as well as a private ski room with boot warmers to keep all your ski equipment secure.
Chalet Galibier can be taken alongside its neighbouring sister chalet, Chalet Izoard, to sleep up to 26 guests across twelve bedrooms.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 12 guests to include full catering service, in resort driver shuttle service to/from the slopes (on 5 days), and daily housekeeping.

Location
Chalet Galibier sits in an enviable position in the village of Chantemerle in Serre Chevalier. Only 200m from the Blétonet chairlift, and the Ratier cable car, it offers fantastic access for skiing in Serre Chevalier within a short walk from the property. For groups with younger guests, you're also ideally situated to the nearby ski school offices, making for a relaxing drop-off in the mornings.
After your day's skiing, Chantemerle poses a number of bars, restaurants and ski shops to explore at the foot of the ski lifts, all within easy walking distance to Chalet Galibier. Further afield, in the nearby village of Le Monêtier-les-Bains, lies the well-known thermal spa and aquatic centre, Les Grands Bains du Monêtier. The larger town of Briançon can be reached via a 7-minute drive.

At Chalet Galibier, cuisine and wine is as much a part of your experience as skiing. A fantastically diverse menu with a range of dishes, both traditional and international, make for an exciting mix of food experiences. The menu for the day is set out each morning, with alternatives provided for anyone who would prefer, simply let the chef know before you head out skiing in Serre Chevalier for the day. Catering for any dietary requirements is no problem, with vegetarian and vegan dishes, and guests with food allergies all able to be accommodated.
You will enjoy an extensive cooked breakfast on 5 days, with the menu changing day to day, while the days off cereals and juices will still be provided. Afternoon tea is laid out from 4pm, with a delicious selection of cakes and pastries ready and waiting for any guests on return, whether you come back early or are staying out until the very last lifts. Dinner consists of three hearty, well-balanced courses, followed by a cheese board with a delightful selection of French cheeses, along with an appetising digestif. The courses feature unlimited, free-flowing wine pairings that have been extensively tested to satisfy guests. For any family ski holidays in Serre Chevalier, an early 2-course supper option is available, with a nutritious main course and tasty dessert served at approximate 5pm/5:30pm, so you can have the kids in bed before you sit down for your own dinner. On a 6th night, a meal delivery will be arranged and left in the fridge, with a family-style dinner and dessert complete with simple instructions for reheating.
At Chalet Galibier, on 5 days of the week, you will enjoy the use of a shuttle service to and from the slopes. This will allow you to easily get from the chalet to your choice of some of the nearest lifts, with a shuttle available to pick you up from wherever you finish your ski day, and deliver you back to the chalet with no worries about how to get home.
