The Property

Chalet Loup is a true mountain hideaway. Located at 1950 metres in altitude, in the very centre of the village of Le Fornet you'll feel the beauty and wonder of the magical mountains all around you. Originally one of the oldest buildings in Val d'Isère, Chalet Loup was wonderfully and sympathetically restored to an exceptionally high standard. Sleeping up to 10 guests across five bedrooms, Chalet Loup really is the ideal chalet for a family or group of friends who enjoy the peace and solitude of the mountains along with the quaint, traditional touches of a French mountain village.

The whole top floor of Chalet Loup is where you will discover the large, open-plan living area with its beautiful wooden beams and contemporary clean lines. A cosy sofa area is centred around the fireplace to relax and enjoy on your return from the pistes. The floor to ceiling windows allow the alpine light to shine into the dining area, cosy lounge and across to the modern, well-equipped kitchen. This provides the ideal place for a winter gathering of family friends to enjoy drinks or a self made dinner after a long day on the slopes.

Outside, the chalet has retained one of its authentic features, a covered wooden terrace which is west facing and a perfect spot to catch the evening sun in springtime with an apéritif. This terrace leads down to a wonderful outdoor hot-tub, ideal for soaking those aching muscles after a long day cruising the slopes or testing yourself in the powder stashes of the Grand Vallon.

Chalet Loup has three double bedrooms located on its middle floor. They all come complete with modern, en-suite shower rooms to offer a comfortable space to ensure the most restful of nights. The bedrooms soft furnishings and fabrics bring a contemporary balanced feel to this stone building and the bathrooms are finished in marble for a touch of elegance. On the lower floor you will find the fourth of the double/twin bedrooms along with a bunk room. The two bunk beds are full size singles so while better suited to children, it would be possible for an adult to use this room.

On the ground floor you will find a ski room with boot warmers before you lead up the winding staircase to the remaining levels of the chalet.

Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 10 guests and includes the service of a breakfast chef and housekeeper to provide daily breakfasts (2 days continental only) and housekeeping on 5 days as well as a complimentary in-resort chauffeur service (8am-6pm).
