The Property
On the ground floor is the fabulous wellness area with indoor swimming pool with jet stream and hammam (steam room). One of the chalets 6 bedrooms is located on the ground floor.
On the first floor are four bedrooms, all with private bathrooms decorated with fine Italian tiles and crisp white porcelain. The bedrooms and living room feature a wealth of beams and panels of old reclaimed wood, which makes them truly unique.
On the second floor, an authentic stone fireplace compliments the spacious open-plan living room and dining room and a large sun terrace adds to this already impressive area. The panoramic windows make the most of the dazzling alpine scenery. On the top floor is the fifth en-suite bathroom, which is a delight. Full of character and romance, it sits alone beneath the eaves and feels like staying in an original alpine chalet.
When taken on a bed and breakfast package, prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 12 guests to include daily breakfast and afternoon tea preparation from the chalet manager, and daily housekeeping.
When taken on a catered basis, prices are based on 12 guests to include the services of a chalet manager, butler and private chef for daily breakfast service, afternoon tea and a three-course dinner service on 5 evenings and in-resort driver service (8.30am-6pm).
Location
Located in the peaceful and private "Fermes de Val" area is Chalet Mathilda. Brilliant for families with young kids it sits a short 1 minute drive from the TDC ski school meeting point, which lies at the foot of the main lift, the Solaise express giving you easy access to the higher altitude skiing. If you wanted to head up the other side of the valley then you're only a 350m drive or walk form the Bellevarde Express lift.
Chalet Mathilda is a 10 minute walk from the Tourist office in the centre of Val d'Isère. Here you will also find plenty of great restaurants serving delicious dinners all within walking distance. If you want to experience Cocorico's famous apres ski then you'll be glad to know its only a short 1 minute drive back to the chalet.
