The Property
Located in the popular Italian ski resort of Sestriere, Baita 1697 is a 17th century Piedmontese farmhouse beautifully converted into a luxury mountain lodge. Spreading over 450m², the lodge can accommodate in total 12 adults and 6 children, making it the ideal place for families or mixed group of friends planning their luxury ski holiday in Italy.
Upon entering Baita 1697, the unique arched stone ceilings, are immediately eye-catching, and create a warm, inviting space to hide away from the cold conditions outdoors. Quality furnishings, a stylish finish and warm lighting set the mood and make the space warm and inviting. There is a beautiful blend of luxury and tradition here. Within the open-plan living space, comfortable sofas are ideally positioned in front of the wood-burning fireplace, creating the perfect spot where to come back to after a day of skiing in Sestriere. To the other side of central staircase, is the intimate dining space with a wooden table and sheep skin decorations, to create the perfect ambience where to enjoy your mealtimes. A separate modern kitchen is found on the ground floor, with everything needed to prepare delicious homemade meals.
Within Baita 1697, there is a second lounge on the first floor, which is the ideal place to relax with the family and watch a favourite movie or challenge each other to a board game. On the top level of the property, there is also a relaxation area with armchairs and a fireplace, which allows you to lose yourself in a book. This leads out to the roof terrace, with stunning mountain views, an outdoor fire and a cedar wood hot tub, for up to 8 people. After a long day skiing, nothing would beat a drink under the stars, easing any aches in the hot tub whilst also enjoying the crackle of the fire.
Baita 1697 can sleep up to 12 adults and 6 children across 6 lovingly decorated bedrooms. Each room is characterised by unique modern design, conveying an intimate atmosphere where to unwind and enjoy your well-deserved night's rest from a day on the mountains. Equally split among two floors, all rooms feature an en-suite bathroom or shower room, while three of them also benefit balcony access: ideal for an alfresco coffee in the morning. On the second level, guests will find a kid's dorm provided with 6 single beds, making the chalet convenient for two families travelling together on their luxury ski holiday in Sestriere. For larger groups, two extra guests can be accommodated in the TV lounge on a double pull out sofa.
For extra convenience, Baita 1697 also features a ski room with heated boot warmers, as well as laundry facilities.
Prices are based on the exclusive use of the property for up to 12 adults and 6 children (under 6yrs) and includes full chalet catering, complimentary ski shuttle to Sestriere and complimentary selected wines. There is a maximum adult occupancy of 12 adults.
Please note: for the week of the 13th of December 2025 the Pattemouche - Anfiteatro cable car is not open.
