Les Menuires is situated in the beautiful Vallee de Belleville and lies just between St Martin de Belleville and Val Thorens at an altitude of 1,800m. The resort was purpose built in the mid 1900's to give skiers great access to the local terrain which has rapidly grown and expanded into Les 3 Valleés. Although not the largest resort, it benefits from lots of ski shops, 3 ski schools, supermarkets, pizzerias and several restaurants. The best restaurant in the area is called La Ferme de Reberty offering traditional French cuisine. The resort is very well connected with several buses running services around the villages that make up Les Menuires, where you can take advantage of the indoor sports centre and many bars and restaurants.
Perhaps one of the biggest bonuses of Les Menuires is that the area offers great value for money, more so than some of the better known areas in the Three Valleys such as Meribel and Courchevel. With the Three Valleys literally on your door step and a ski area offering 600km of piste and 200 lifts, you will have more than enough terrain to keep you entertained and at 1,850m it is reliably snow sure!
Apres Ski
There are a variety of bars and night spots in Les Menuires to cater for all tastes. Outside terraces, bars with live music, nightclubs and piano bars.. there is more than enough here to entertain thirsty guests! From the great live apres ski bands at Le Skilt to lively Pub Le Challenge featuring live music to the more sophisticated piano bar Le Kube, which features comfy sofas and an extensive cocktail menu! There are two main night clubs in resort, the one in the centre of resort, New Pop, and Le Leeberty in the Bruyeres area of resort.
