The Property
Chalet Maurice is reached via a private funicular railway through the mountain. This free standing property is set into the mountainside with a magnificent view of the soaring Matterhorn. It offers a comfortable contemporary feel using a combination of local materials, natural yet sumptuous fabrics and simple elegant lines. The careful balance of architecture and interior design combine beautifully to create a luxuriously chic alpine retreat.
The spacious open plan living area and dining room create a feeling of comfort and light as do the six large en-suite bedrooms, most of which have direct Matterhorn views.
The master suite takes the entire top floor, featuring an open fire, a double height pitched ceiling and floor to ceiling windows. Large south-facing balconies on each floor offer the perfect place to sunbathe and soak up the breathtaking views.
Price is based on exclusive use of the chalet to include full gourmet catering and open spirit bar. No travel included.
Location
Located in the exclusive Petit Village area of Zermatt, and with arguably the best possible views of the Matterhorn.
Guests can choose to access the chalet via the road or using its private funicular railway built into the side of the mountain.
The Sunnegga ski lift is a mere 5 minutes away by electric taxi and the centre of town a further 2 minutes down the road. Walking to the Sunnegga lift station would take 10 minutes and it is the same time to the Gornergrat mountain railway/ski lift, centre of town and train station thanks to the private funicular taking you quickly down to street level.
