The Property
Haus Ulysse is one of the few stand-alone chalets in Zermatt and has six well appointed bedrooms that can sleep up to 12 people. The property is made up of two parts, the main chalet with large living spaces and 4 bedrooms and a separate adjoining annexe which has its own external entrance, smaller living space, spa area and 2 further bedrooms. Thanks to the multiple living spaces and extra annexe space, Haus Ulysse could be ideal for larger multi-family groups, or groups with teenagers or grandparents wishing to have a bit of extra privacy.
Tastefully furnished and decorated with attractive art works, Haus Ulysse has a warm, friendly atmosphere and provides a high standard of accommodation for both adult and family parties. A spacious living room with an inviting fireplace can be found on the first floor, with windows that offer up spectacular views of the Matterhorn. This can be found alongside the intimate dining area next to the large open-plan kitchen where guests will be served their breakfast and dinner.
Within the annexe, there is a second smaller living area, with lounge, dining area and kitchenette. The annexe has been beautifully finished to match the style and space of the main chalet. There is also the benefit of a small separate spa space which features a sauna and is for guests to enjoy after a tiring day skiing in the highest ski area in the Alps. This area can also be used for a range of massage and beauty treatments that can be booked as an extra with help from your expert concierge.
Traditional in decoration with sumptuous furnishings, there are six double bedrooms spread over three of the floors of Haus Ulysse for guests to choose from. On the top floor of Haus Ulysse, you will find one double or twin room with its own en-suite bathroom, and two further double or twin rooms with a separate shared shower room. There is a fourth double or twin bedroom and separate shower room on the main living level of Haus Ulysse.
Within the annexe, you will find the last two double bedrooms. These rooms have been equally finished to the main chalet, with a cosy style for a good night's sleep. They both share a separate bathroom, whilst one, also has the benefit of a private terrace.
On the lower ground floor, there is a heated ski room with boot warmers for storing your equipment in.
Smaller groups of up to 8 guests can take Haus Ulysse without the separate ground floor annexe apartment, known simply as Chalet Ulysse, offering shared use of the spa area and ski room on the lower ground floor.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 12 guests and is offered on a fully catered basis (daily breakfast, afternoon tea & 4 x evening dinner service) with complimentary wines and taxi service on arrival/departure day for Zermatt train station.
On Xmas, New Year, February Half Term and Easter weeks, the fully catered package includes 6 x evening dinner service. Upgrades to 6 nights of evening meals may be possible on other weeks, please enquire.
The chalet may also be taken on a bed and breakfast basis with daily housekeeping.
On some weeks, the chalet can also be taken on a self catering basis without any staff services, please enquire.
