For those not so familiar with St Anton, the Austrian resort has arguably the world’s greatest Apres scene! If dancing on tables shotting flaming sambuca’s to Euro-trash music isn’t your thing, the resort still has plenty to offer.
Sitting at 1,304m in altitude, the resort is bursting with charm in a beautiful village style atmosphere complete with bell ringing church. There are festive winter markets and starlit ski shows for the whole family to enjoy throughout the season.
With 340 kilometres of marked ski runs and 200 km of off-piste, St Anton has firmly established itself as one of the World’s great ski resorts and is a destination every keen skier should experience at least once! I would also highly recommend visiting the neighbouring resort of Lech, a beautiful place to ski and a favourite for the rich and royal.
In St Anton, there are permanent racing circuits, fun parks for snowboarders and superbly prepared slopes for all ability levels. From personal experience, I would say it can be a more challenging resort in terms of steeper slopes and marked ski runs. The reds were certainly more demanding on the legs than some other well known resorts.
I remember skiing down slightly merry following an afternoon session in the Mooserwirt (I was the girl dancing on the table shotting flaming sambuca) and passed a gentleman with both skis crossed beside him waiting for the air ambulance to pick him up…ouch. That being said the slopes are nothing an intermediate can’t handle. Just be extra careful when skiing or snowboarding down after those flaming sambucas!
Not quite sure what is going on in this picture taken from my trip to St Anton in 2010! Needless to say I can’t remember, but as you can see it lived up to its boozy reputation!….
Anyway the Ski in Luxury team are very excited to welcome some great new chalet additions to our luxury chalet portfolio in St Anton. All are available for next season and booking well in advance is certainly recommended being such a popular resort…
Set in the tranquil Nasserein area, The mighty Eden Rock (as seen in first picture) is only a few minutes walk to the closest ski lift and approximately 10mins walk into town.
The chalet is split into 3 large apartments, Ariane, Kanzi and Zari, as you walk into the lobby area with its log fire and bar area you instantly know this isn’t a typical chalet. The Tyrolean stube restaurant area is available for groups taking all 3 apartments enabling you to eat together as a group. Alternatively, each apartment can be catered for individually and you can dine in privacy with friends and family.
A highlight of the complex is the fantastic shared wellness area with indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room, massage room and fitness area. There is certainly plenty to keep the entire group entertained between the welllness area, the bar and the bustling village of St Anton itself.
Full of tradition in an an idyllic position near the runs and close to a main lift, Taja has all the ingredients for the perfect chalet. It is enhanced by its stunning panoramic views across to the off piste slopes of Hinter Rendl.
Although it is a well known chalet, thought to be one of the first in St Anton, it has been lovingly restored and comfortably sleeps 8 guests, with the option of a 9th guest on a sofa bed (every group has a token crazy single skiing friend). There is an outdoor hot tub and a sauna.
A gem that combines polished elegance and stylish charm, Chalet Maroi was designed by an award-winning architect. The resort centre is under five-minutes walk away, as is the nearest ski lift, making it the ideal location for family and friends!
The chalet has the homely atmosphere yet cutting-edge design of a top-flight, modern apartment with every detail conceived to give guests a home from home feel. The chalet takes up to eight guests, and all four good-sized bedrooms have en-suite facilities. There is even a sauna to relax in on the garden floor.
Mountain Sky consists of Chalet Cirrus and Chalet Stratus both sleeping 6 guests and Chalet Nimbus sleeping 10. Situated on the main road AlteArlberstrasse, a short stroll from St Anton town centre and just steps away from the Galzig lift.
Outside lies a heated swimming pool complete with inset whirlpool! An extremely cool feature in our opion, however if heading outside in your swimming gear in -degrees to watch the snowfall doesn’t appeal, there’s always the steam room, sauna and relaxation room to enjoy. Exclusive to guests of the three apartments only.
All of the chalets and apartments listed come with the following service for guests to enjoy:-
- Dedicated staff members
- Chalet Manager
- Champagne reception on arrival
- Early morning wake up, with tea or coffee in bed
- Full hot breakfast on 6 days (continental on staff day off)
