Verbier Bike Park Launch Party

Verbier is a top destination with mountain bike enthusiasts as it has an amazing 826km of biking trails and a bike park. On Saturday 3rd June, keen bikers can celebrate the opening of the bike park for the season! With competitions, races, BBQs, live music and price reductions it’s a great start to the summer season in Verbier. Three trails will be open this weekend – red “Wouaiy”, yellow “Tire’s Fire” and black “Woooohhh” with more opening as the last of the snow melts.
Verbier Music Festival

Verbier music festival celebrates both world renowned classical music performers as well as young talent from all over the world. It’s running this year from the 21st of July all the way through to the 6th August so there is plenty of opportunity to experience some fantastic acts. With astounding evening concerts, open air performances, masterclass sessions and a wide range of free activities, Verbier has a real buzz at this time of the year. Some would say the hills are alive with the sound of music!
Swiss National Day

Swiss National Day has been celebrated on the 1st August for decades and commemorates the signing of the federal charter when an alliance was made between 3 major cantons, Uri, Schwyz and Unterwalden. Each local community celebrates it in its own way. Verbier puts on an impressive celebration known as the ‘Kermesse de Verbier’. Verbier fills its streets with market stands, bars, music entertainment, street shows and free activities for the children. On both evenings, the celebrations are finished with a striking firework display high on the mountainside, making for a stunning back drop. It’s a great time to visit and get a real sense for the local community, with the towns and villages draped in flags and local pastimes such as alphorn blowing and flag throwing being enjoyed throughout the area. It is also a perfect time to try out the local delicacies and cuisine as they are celebrated throughout the streets.
Fête des Familles and Rocklette

This summer the Fête des Familles and Rocklette have joined together to create a fantastic music event in Verbier. Rocklette is a 4-day event that celebrates rock music, local Raclette cheese and the mountains in four different and unique locations. On its 3rd day it will come to Verbier where it will combine with the Fête des Familles to create the perfect family event. Set in the mountains, the festival will host a series of events throughout the day, including music concerts, family activities, visits to heritage sites and a brunch featuring local produce!
Jumping National de Verbier
17.08.17 – 27.08.17
This prestigious horse jumping competition will celebrate its 20th year this summer, with the best competitors from Switzerland and Europe coming to compete in Verbier. During the event, there is the national competition followed by the international competition and both amateurs and Olympic competitors, it’s a wealth of talent and is a great occasion to come and watch and enjoy during the summer. Over 20,000 spectators come and watch during the 10-day event and it’s free to all.
