As our readers will know by now, the nominees for the 4th Annual World Ski Awards™ have been announced and the ceremony will take place between 18th – 20th November 2016 in Kitzbühel.
It is a hugely exciting time within the luxury ski travel industry and as an agent, we have a huge number of nominated chalets featured on portfolio. We thought we’d show our readers nominees for each category, starting with World’s Best New Ski Chalet 2016….
World’s Best New Ski Chalet 2016
Chalet Laurus, Lech (sleeps 6-8)
Chalet Laurus is in a divine location, just two minutes away from the chair-lift to the ski slopes, while the village of Lech is only 5 minutes walk away. The chalet interior is elegantly decorated in warm alpine colours and features a spa with sauna, Jacuzzi and relaxation area, indoor children play area, in-house wine cellar and stunning alpine living space with panoramic windows.
The Ecurie, St Martin de Belleville (sleeps 8)
Nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Villarabout in The Three Valleys, The Ecurie is only a four-minute chauffeured drive from the main lift hub. Inspired by the surrounding mountains and local history, it was once a 130 year old Savoie stable, lovingly restored into a luxurious alpine retreat. The team running the chalet specialise solely in St Martin de Belleville and only employ qualified fine dining chefs experienced in Michelin Star/3 AA Rosette restaurants who have a flair for exceptional food. This is just one of the reasons so many guests return each year!

Chalet Pont du Cam, Meribel (sleeps 14)
Located in Meribel 1600 on the Route l’Altiport and only a 2 minute chauffeur drive from the Doron piste, Chalet Pont du Cam offers its guests a contemporary haven, with luxury furnishing and the finest touches for a perfect skiing holiday. With endless entertainment on offer including a pool table, outdoor jacuzzi and cinema room, combined with superb standards of cuisine, it is no wonder Pont du Cam finds itself in this prestigious awards category.
Chalet Rock n Love, Tignes Les Brevieres (sleeps 8-12)
Just a short walk from the ski lifts and village restaurants, Chalet Rock n Love is unlike any chalet in L’Espace Killy region….or the Alps altogether! Showcasing a distinct 70’s theme throughout, there is an extensive living space with lots of grown up ‘toys’ including a unique mini car pool table, Wurlitzer style juke box loaded with 100 albums, and an original Marshall Amp and speaker with guitar.
